Review: Succubus Heat (Georgina Kincaid #3) - Richelle Mead

5/5

This is the third book in the Georgina Kincaid series by Richelle Mead.
The book picks up where we left Georgina in Succubus Nights (Or Succubus on Top if you are American). I don't know why there was a name change in the UK version, but it doesn't really bother me.

In this instalment we see the main character Georgina struggling again to balance the human and otherworldly aspects of her life. Which includes of course being a succubus, having a human boyfriend that she can only kiss for a few seconds without sucking some of the life out of him and juggling her human job at a bookshop.

Not only is Georgina balancing all these aspects of her life but something is draining her energy at night while she sleeps! She attempts to do some detective work to find out what is really going on, and eventually finds her answers, but as usual with Richelle's book it turns out to be nothing like you imagined it would be!

There was some really great writing in this book, especially in the dialogue between the characters, especially the jokes about Georgina's previous Christmas tree being burnt down and then her forest of Christmas trees she received from friends this year!

I am looking forward to starting the next book in the series Succubus Heat soon!
